SELVANA

Concept

Rainforest Retreat · Brand Strategy & Creative Direction

Rest deeply. Rise renewed.

A boutique rainforest retreat designed around a single promise: guests leave with more energy than they have felt in years, and feeling like the best version of themselves.

The brief

This is a self-initiated concept for a boutique rainforest retreat for affluent travelers aged 40 to 60. They invest in their health, live full urban lives, and want a true reset in an exotic, natural setting, with no fads and no pressure.

The insight

This guest doesn’t need another program. They are already optimizing their days, their sleep and their diets. What they lack is permission to slow down, and the energy that returns when they finally do.

Most luxury wellness answers fatigue with more: more treatments, more scheduling, more effort. Selvana answers it with less. Energy is the outcome, and rest is the way there.

Strategy

Selvana is positioned as a reset at your own pace. There are no set itineraries or back-to-back treatments. Guests are cared for and pampered, and every offering is an invitation rather than an obligation.

Each stay follows a natural three-part arc:

  1. Arrive: Let go of the city. The body slows and the mind quiets.
  2. Restore: Deep rest through mind and body care, nature and nourishing food.
  3. Rise: Energy returns. Guests leave clear, vital and fully themselves.

Signature moments

The Quiet Arrival. There’s no front desk and no forms. Guests are welcomed barefoot with a cool forest infusion, and phones go into a woven pouch. Public spaces are phone-free, so the rainforest has their full attention.

The Morning Card. Each day begins with a handwritten card offering three paths: Rest, Restore or Rise. Guests choose by how they feel, and the day shapes itself around them.

Canopy Dawn. An optional meditation on a platform high in the trees, timed to the forest waking up.

Mind and body care. Spa rituals, breathwork, sound therapy and restorative movement, designed to calm the nervous system and quiet the mind.

A table for every body. Organic, freshly sourced food from local growers and the retreat’s own garden. Every menu is curated to the guest, including gluten-free and dairy-free, so nothing feels like a compromise.

Lessons worth keeping. Optional longevity, mindfulness and meditation sessions throughout the day, taught by experts. Practical, never preachy.

The Rise. The final morning is built for energy: breathwork, a river plunge and a vibrant first-light breakfast. Guests depart awake, not drowsy.

The Return Ritual. Each guest leaves with three personal practices to carry home, so the feeling lasts long after the trip.

Creative direction

Visual identity: Deep forest green, wet stone, warm teak and soft morning mist, with an organic serif wordmark and generous white space.

Imagery: The arc is told visually. It starts in cool, misted stillness and moves into warm, golden morning light, showing guests at ease, then glowing.

Tone of voice: Warm, assured and quietly expert, like a trusted host who knows exactly what you need.

Touchpoints: The arrival ritual, phone pouch, Morning Cards, menus, the Return Ritual card and website direction.

Deliverables

Brand platform, naming, positioning, visual identity, guest journey and signature rituals, menu concept, campaign direction and website direction.

Concept outcome

The result is a wellness brand that sells a feeling, not a schedule: arrive depleted, leave renewed. Selvana’s measure of success is simple. Guests should feel the difference at home a month later, and that is the reason they return.

Come back to your best self.

The brief

Develop a distinctive brand for women navigating everyday pressures and demanding moments. The ambition was to make personal care feel approachable, discreet and desirable.

The insight

The objects we keep close become part of our routines. By approaching wellness through thoughtful design, Sera makes room for a moment of care - on a dressing table, beside a bed or inside a handbag.

The strategy

Build the brand around ritual, with warm, grounded language and a clear distinction between personal storytelling and product benefits. The product remains a development concept.

Creative direction

Deep burgundy, pale butter and brushed silver create an identity that balances warmth with precision. A refined serif wordmark, tactile materials and intimate editorial imagery bring the concept into a contemporary luxury setting.

Packaging concept

A hinged compact forms the primary packaging direction, accompanied by a pale butter carton. An alternative slim silver sliding case explores another way to carry the melts. Both remain design studies.

Brand expression

The visual world connects ingredient details, packaging, everyday rituals and concise editorial storytelling. Social content introduces the concept through a coherent mix of product imagery, typography and lifestyle scenes.

GOOD COMPANY

Concept

Members’ Club for Dogs and Their People · Hospitality, Brand Strategy & Creative Direction

Good days. Better company.

Tribeca loft character, members’ hospitality and a connected world of canine play, grooming and wellbeing.

Explore the concept

A private club concept that brings the pleasures of a downtown members’ house to life with dogs. Loft spaces for play, a boutique luncheon and juice bar for members, luxury grooming and a quieter approach to canine wellbeing - all connected through one considered experience.

The brief

Create a luxury club where dogs are central to the experience and owners have a reason to stay. The concept combines social connection, indoor play, hospitality and everyday care within the character of a restored Tribeca loft.

The insight

Dog owners organize their days around the companions they love, yet play, grooming, dining and veterinary appointments often require separate trips. Good Company imagines a more connected way to spend that time: enriching for dogs, enjoyable for their people and supported by attentive service.

The strategy

One membership. Distinct spaces. A shared sense of belonging.

The club is organized around two complementary experiences: a hosted world for dogs and a welcoming house for members. Separate rooms for canine activities and human food service are linked visually, with operational planning and approvals to be resolved before any real opening.

The proposed audience is downtown dog owners who value design, care and community. The membership concept includes a canine introduction and temperament assessment, with supervised play groups organized around individual needs, size and energy.

The club

The Den. A light-filled indoor play lounge with washable soft surfaces, small-group enrichment, discreet play structures and quieter corners for rest. Proposed trained hosts oversee arrivals, play and transitions.

Concept visualization

The Luncheon Room. A boutique members’ dining room for an unhurried lunch, conversation or a pause between appointments. Seasonal plates, a small menu and thoughtful service give owners a reason to stay. Dogs remain in the separately planned canine areas.

The Juice Bar. A fresh-juice and coffee counter within the members’ hospitality space. A concise offering, beautiful glassware and a communal counter create an easy daytime social ritual.

The Biscuit Bar. A separate canine refreshment concept with treats and hydration options, developed with qualified veterinary nutrition input before operation. Dietary needs and owner consent inform any proposed menu.

The Grooming Rooms. Private-feeling grooming suites with consultation-led appointments, gentle bathing, brushing and coat care tailored to each dog. Good design supports a calm, practical working environment rather than adding unnecessary spectacle.

The Mini Spa. A quieter extension of grooming: warm towels, paw cleaning and comfortable post-groom rest. Services would be tailored to the dog and reviewed by appropriate professionals; the concept makes no therapeutic promises.

Concept visualization

The Longevity & Veterinary Suite - Future Offering. A potential veterinary-led preventive-care and healthy-aging service, delivered by appropriately licensed veterinary professionals. The concept could include wellness consultations and individualized discussions about mobility, nutrition, dental care and age-appropriate screening. Clinical decisions, service scope, licensing and operating arrangements remain to be developed with a veterinary partner.

Concept visualization

The Garden. A planted outdoor terrace imagined for relaxed gatherings with dogs and owners, subject to the permissions and operating requirements of the eventual location.

Signature moments

The Welcome: A host greets the dog and owner by name, with a clear handoff and an individual care brief.

The Window Seat: A members’ table overlooking the Den through glass.

The Day Note: A concise update on play, rest and the day’s activities.

Hudson Mornings: Proposed neighborhood walks and member meetups.

The Homeward Ritual: A freshly groomed companion, a care note and an easy departure.

Creative direction

Tribeca loft character meets the discretion of a private members’ house. Original brick, timber and cast iron are paired with cognac leather, deep forest green, brushed metal and warm stone. Practical washable finishes and separated activity zones are part of the spatial brief.

A classic serif identity, tactile membership stationery and candid editorial imagery communicate belonging without dog-themed novelty. The tone is warm, witty and assured.

Scope

Brand positioning · Naming · Membership concept · Visual identity direction · Spatial and service concepts · Guest journey · Grooming and wellbeing experience direction · Campaign and website direction
